Poppy

Papaver rhoeas
The poppy, harvest companion, arrived from the Middle East to Europe by the grain trade. His homeland is Bulgaria or Turkey. It embodies " the fragile ardor " but mostly " consolation ". It is associated in Commonwealth countries to remember the veterans. Its french name comes from the old french " coquerico " meaning " rooster " because of the color of the crest of the cock. This print is created in an art workshop, signed, numbered and limited to 150 prints, from an original botanical watercolor.
