This print is created in an art workshop, signed, numbered and limited to 150 prints, from an original botanical watercolor and represents a vegetable from which the origin is believed to come from Middle East or Southwest Asia. It would have been domesticated for thousands of years ago before spreading throughout Asia and Europe In the middle ages and the Renaissance, it was vegetable root most common in Northern Europe and in England. However, it would be the 18th century before is displayed the small round, red radish that we know today. The « radish » name appeared in the language in the 16th century and simply comes from the latin "radix", which means "root."
