A funny name for this shrub from the north and enjoying the hard winters ! : the gooseberry is native to the Caucasus and northern Ukraine. Its name comes from the fact that in England the juice of these currants serve seasoning dishes of mackerel. It can also aciduler sauces. It was imported into France during the Middle Ages by the Danes and the Normans. This print is an art print, signed, numbered & limited to 150 copies from an original botanical watercolor.
